The IT Support Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring seamless technical operations within the organization. This professional is tasked with delivering desk-side IT support, addressing hardware, software, and peripheral device challenges faced by end users. They are responsible for the management and operation of audio-visual systems, facilitating smooth presentations and live events in auditoriums and meeting spaces. Additionally, the engineer maintains sound systems and supports hybrid meeting rooms equipped with Logitech Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions. Their responsibilities further include providing backup support for IT-Factory system operations, all while adhering to established IT policies and procedures.
Your Responsibilities As An IT Support Engineer
Deliver desk-side IT support, troubleshooting hardware issues (laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals) and setting up workstations with dual screens, monitor arms, and docking stations.
Log, update, and manage incident tickets using ITSM tools, ensuring proper issue categorization and escalation.
Provide technical support for AV systems in Auditorium, ensuring seamless operation during live events in the auditorium.
Supports Logitech MTR solutions and ensures meeting room readiness on a daily basis.
Assist network engineers with patching and networking tasks under supervision.
Manage Xerox multifunction printers and provide operational floor support.
Maintain and audit IT hardware inventory in CMDB, initiating procurement to replenish stock as needed.
Coordinate with third-party IT vendors for quotations and order placements.
Responsible for maintaining the server room, ensuring its cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
Provide backup support to IT Project Engineers as required.
Your qualities
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
A dynamic and outgoing individual with strong interpersonal skills, well-suited for IT support roles requiring both technical expertise and confident, customer-focused communication.
Strong technical skills in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing AV and sound equipment.
Must be a team player with strong active listening skills, open to receiving and sharing suggestions, and possess a positive, collaborative attitude to engage well with team members.
