Key Responsibilities:
The Finance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the finance team across various functional areas, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Treasury, General Ledger, Governance, Tax, Fixed Assets, Commercial Finance, ERP, and more. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex financial activities across multiple domains and geographies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Maintain high-level oversight and accountability for tasks assigned to the AP and AR teams.
Ensure the timely processing of payments and collections in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Treasury
Manage and monitor daily cash flow to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity.
Liaise with the corporate treasury for funding requirements and banking operations.
Support month-end closings, including financial report preparation and reconciliations.
Conduct quarterly reviews of guarantees to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
Prepare cash flow projections and develop dashboards for executive reporting.
General Ledger / Inventory & Monthly Closing
Oversee general ledger operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with financial regulations.
Validate month-end closings and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Supervise inventory valuation and reporting, including assessments of obsolete stock.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with EDGE Group policies.
Validate cost of goods sold (COGS) and provide margin analysis by product and division.
Governance
Draft and prepare financial memos for management approvals.
Monitor operational finance processes and propose governance and compliance solutions.
Review and update financial policies and procedures (e.g., Petty Cash, Inventory, FA, AP, etc.).
Fixed Assets
Maintain responsibility for fixed asset tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and reporting.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the fixed asset register.
Tax
Supervise VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable tax-related processes.
Ensure full compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
General Finance Operations
Manage insurance matters including PO reviews, payment processing, and policy tracking.
Ensure sufficient insurance coverage for business operations and potential risks.
Support legal and finance aspects of company incorporation, share and inventory transfers, and recall documentation.
Commercial / Project Finance
Conduct financial reviews of contracts to ensure commercial soundness.
Monitor and follow up on international and local contracts/deliveries, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Provide financial oversight on capex and project-based finance activities.
ERP / Systems
Oversee ERP-related development tasks and implementation tracking.
Lead or support SAP implementation projects to ensure alignment with business needs.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience where the last 5 years spent in senior position.
Experience in Manufacturing sector and leading Finance Teams.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and treasury management.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
