As a Field Service Technician you will provide field services at nuclear power plant sites either operating or under construction, and service center operations, using high technology service equipment and in a manner reflecting Westinghouses commitment to excellent safety and quality.

You will report to the Product Manager and be located at Abu Dhabi.

Hybrid work schedule.

Main Responsibilities

  • Field Operations
  • Perform outage and outage related activities for the training, preparation, execution, and closeout of outage projects to include.
  • Perform non-outage related activities such as customer or Westinghouse equipment refurbishment or repair, component upgrades, or troubleshooting at both customer and Westinghouse sites.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with support, with a high degree of quality, and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines. Maintain and document all quality related issues.
  • Promote, and exercise team‐building skills with peers, supervisors, contactors, customers, and other Westinghouse departments.
  • Demonstrate good customer sensitivity.
  • You will have extensive travel, maintenance of “Unescorted Access” status, maintain adherence to the “fitness for responsibility” program, and working with hazardous materials.
  • Training
  • Participate in performance‐based training programs to acquire and qualifications and certifications and keep current with technology.
  • Participate in formal training to expand knowledge areas, skills, and expertise.
  • Participate in on-the-job training in the field.
  • Participate in safety training to acquire the skills to perform work in hazardous environments and operate safety equipment and systems.
  • Learn, understand, and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
  • Participation and contribution of safety observations.
  • Acquire Nuclear Culture Safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, post high school degree/certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3 + years of field experience, valuable in nuclear sector.
  • General knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, and outage operations.
  • Specific knowledge and training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical curriculum, and knowledge of mathematics.
  • Practitioner in a predetermined qualification or certification program
