Job Description

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager plays a pivotal role in curating and enhancing dining experiences within a hospitality setting. This professional is responsible for overseeing the operation of food services, ensuring exceptional standards of service, quality, and profitability are maintained. The F&B Manager collaborates with chefs, service staff, and stakeholders to design menus, coordinate events, and manage inventory effectively. This role demands a blend of leadership skills, culinary knowledge, and business acumen. An F&B Manager is also expected to stay updated with current industry trends and implement innovative practices to elevate the guest experience while optimizing operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department.
  • Develop and implement creative menus and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective purchases.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of food and beverage staff.
  • Analyze and interpret data to improve overall food and beverage operations.
  • Establish and manage budgets to align with financial objectives.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Organize and manage promotional activities and events effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize waste and avoid stock shortages.
  • Foster strong working relationships with kitchen and service teams.
  • Review and act on customer feedback to improve services provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an F&B Manager or similar role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage service operations is necessary.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills are required.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills are mandatory.
  • Capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
