Environmental Scientist

The Environmental Scientist is responsible for studying and analyzing environmental problems, developing strategies to mitigate pollution, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Working across industries such as construction, energy, and government, this role involves conducting fieldwork, preparing reports, and recommending sustainable practices. Ideal candidates combine strong scientific knowledge with analytical thinking and a commitment to environmental preservation and public health.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and site investigations.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret air, water, and soil samples.

• Develop plans to reduce or eliminate sources of pollutants.

• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and presentations.

• Monitor environmental compliance with local and international regulations.

• Advise businesses and government agencies on environmental best practices.

• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and public officials on development projects.

• Assist in emergency response plans for environmental hazards.

• Research emerging environmental threats and propose preventive strategies.

• Promote awareness and sustainable practices through community outreach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and assessment procedures.

• Proficiency in GIS tools and data analysis software.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and conduct fieldwork in various conditions.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• Certification in environmental management is an advantage.
