REPONSIBILITIES

  • FPGA Design & Development:
    • Design and implement FPGA firmware for various digital hardware applications.
    • Develop and optimize RTL (Register Transfer Level) code using VHDL or Verilog.
    • Perform synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure tasks on FPGA devices.
    • Work with industry-standard FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.
  • Digital Hardware Design:
    • Design digital logic circuits and systems, including combinational and sequential logic.
    • Collaborate with hardware engineers to design interfaces and integrate FPGA-based solutions with other components (e.g., processors, sensors, memory).
    • Develop and implement signal processing algorithms and high-speed digital communications.
  • Simulation and Verification:
    • Develop testbenches and perform simulation and debugging to ensure functionality and performance meet requirements.
    • Validate designs through hardware emulation, testing, and debugging using tools like ModelSim or similar simulators.
    • Ensure design robustness by performing comprehensive validation and verification processes.
  • Embedded Systems & Firmware Development:
    • Develop embedded firmware for controlling FPGA logic and interacting with external systems.
    • Work with microcontrollers, memory devices, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe) in conjunction with FPGA designs.
    • Write low-level drivers and software for hardware interface management.
Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in embedded systems/ FPGA-based solution development for military or defense related clients.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design, timing analysis, and FPGA architecture.
  • Proficient in FPGA programming using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ModelSim, XSIM) and debugging techniques.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and interfacing FPGA with processors and peripheral devices.
  • Experience with high-speed digital communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, Serial, etc.).
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of embedded systems/ FPGA-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of radar / EW principles, including electromagnetic theory, RF systems, radar waveforms, and signal processing techniques.
  • Knowledge of phased array radar / EW systems, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), or multi-static radar systems.
  • Strong skills in mathematics, image, signal, or data processing
