Dance Captain

Job Description

• Preventative Safety - Creating exercise for animators to do prior to performances to increase strength and reduce fatigue or accidents.
• Choreography for special events and/or internal events, park openings, splash squad, auditions.
• Support to any choreographers that may be contracted for future shows while on property throughout rehearsal periods. (If within their skill set).
• Regularly review performances of all shows.
• Available to coach and train animators in cross-training roles or existing roles.
• Provide a monthly report on performance activity, show quality and upcoming events.

• Higher secondary or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in the entertainment industry, including theatre, dance, circus, music.
• Dance: ability to learn and execute basic choreography.
• Attitude: capability to maintain positive attitude under a variety of circumstances.
• Personality: ability to be outgoing and friendly towards others.

• Prefer candidates with experience playing full body characters as well as candidates with theatre, dance, singing and/or hosting formal training.
