We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef specializing in Asian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will be instrumental in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring the quality and authenticity of flavors from various Asian regions. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of Asian cuisine dishes efficiently.
  • Support senior chefs by preparing ingredients, sauces, and garnishes.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in meal preparations.
  • Follow recipes accurately to maintain authenticity in Asian dishes.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to enhance culinary offerings.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages in ingredients or supplies.
  • Adapt dishes to accommodate special dietary requirements while maintaining taste.
  • Participate in menu planning to incorporate traditional and modern Asian dishes.
  • Implement best practices in food safety to prevent cross-contamination risks.
  • Assist in receiving and safely storing cooking supplies and raw ingredients.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve cooking techniques and flavor profiles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of Asian culinary traditions and innovations.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Basic knife skills with the ability to chop, slice, and dice ingredients accurately.
