Job Description

The Shutdown Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and executing planned plant shutdowns in industrial settings. This position requires strategic planning and coordination of all activities involved in the shutdown process, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards. The Shutdown Coordinator is responsible for organizing resources, managing timelines, and collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth operations during the shutdown. A successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures in an industrial environment. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the shutdown process.


Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement detailed shutdown plans to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to align shutdown activities with operational goals.
  • Supervise the procurement of necessary resources and equipment for the shutdown.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize risk during the shutdown process.
  • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing plant shutdowns or similar large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial operational procedures and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with project management software to plan and track shutdown activities.
