Civil Foreman (225-714)

As a Civil Foreman, you will lead and oversee construction projects by managing a team of workers and ensuring that all activities are completed timely and efficiently. Your pivotal role will involve coordinating tasks according to priorities and plans, allocating general and daily responsibilities, and supervising workers on-site to guarantee that they follow the project guidelines and timelines. With a keen eye for detail, you will scrutinize all operations and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Interacting with various stakeholders, from project managers to engineers, you will act as the bridge between upper management and on-ground execution, ensuring a seamless flow of communication. This position requires strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to deliver high-quality projects aligned with client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide construction workers and subcontractors on the project site.
• Coordinate and schedule activities with project managers and engineers for efficiency.
• Ensure all tasks adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines consistently.
• Distribute daily responsibilities and ensure work quality and productivity on-site.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on project progress and on-site activities.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems to maintain workflow at the site.
• Inspect works performed to ensure they align with set specifications and standards.
• Oversee the use of machinery and equipment to prevent misuse or accidents.
• Ensure materials and resources are appropriately allocated and managed efficiently.
• Act as liaison between management, engineers, and workers for effective communication.
• Attend meetings to discuss project status updates and resolve any arising issues.
• Train new workers on standard operational procedures and safety protocols.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in construction.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
• Capability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to commute to different worksites.
