Position Overview

Parsons is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director – Hospitality to join our team! In this role, you will lead business development efforts within the hospitality sector, driving growth and expanding Parsons footprint across the Middle East. You will leverage your extensive industry knowledge, client relationships, and strategic planning skills to identify opportunities, develop winning proposals, and secure profitable partnerships.

This position requires a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, including market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to align business development strategies with Parsons overall objectives, ensuring the company remains a leader in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to the hospitality market.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their growth plans, operational challenges, and project needs.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding to build trust and strengthen relationships with clients across the Middle East.
  • Showcase Parsons expertise in addressing hospitality-related challenges, including facility design, operational efficiency, and guest experience enhancement.


Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new opportunities in the hospitality sector.
  • Identify and pursue high-value projects, partnerships, and market segments aligned with Parsons capabilities.
  • Monitor competitive activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to position Parsons effectively.
  • Utilize CRM tools and market analytics to track leads, analyze trends, and refine business development strategies.


Proposal Development & Negotiation

  • Lead the preparation and submission of client proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and Parsons strengths.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing) to gather relevant information and develop compelling proposals.
  • Present proposals to clients and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are prepared, reviewed, and approved in compliance with company policies.


Market Research & Expansion

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the hospitality industry.
  • Recommend new services, solutions, or geographical markets for expansion based on market demands.
  • Represent Parsons at hospitality industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and promote the company’s expertise.


Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Develop and inspire a high-performing business development team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Mentor and guide business development representatives and proposal teams to achieve departmental goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
  • Leverage internal and external relationships to strengthen Parsons position in the hospitality sector.


Post-Award Client Engagement

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients post-award to ensure satisfaction, identify additional opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client retention.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, with a strong focus on the hospitality industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hospitality sector, including market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven experience in managing complex bids and securing high-value projects.
  • Strong understanding of proposal pricing, contract negotiations, and business objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-specific software.
