Job Description

The Accounts Receivables Coordinator is a vital member of the finance team, responsible for managing the inflow of money and ensuring accounts are appropriately managed. This role demands attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle complex financial transactions efficiently. The coordinator works closely with clients and internal departments to ensure timely collections, resolve discrepancies, and maintain an accurate financial record. If you are adept at numbers, organized, and skilled at communicating with various stakeholders, this position could suit you well. Experience in finance and a keen understanding of accounting principles will aid in sustaining and streamlining our accounts receivable processes.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date billing systems and handle timely collection of payments.
  • Interview clients to ensure they understand and agree with billing policies.
  • Generate and send out invoices, checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and issues efficiently.
  • Prepare financial and accounting reports for senior management review regularly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and collection processes.
  • Monitor accounts on a daily basis identifying outstanding debts and proposing solutions.
  • Create and maintain organized customer billing files for record-keeping purposes.
  • Negotiate with clients regarding payment agreements when necessary.
  • Implement and iterate on accounts receivable best practices and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and financial regulations in managing receivables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting receivables or financial operations is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software applications required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
  • Problem-solving skills for dealing with complex financial transactions effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
