Accountant

Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and IFRS standards, and supporting the finance team in daily and periodic accounting tasks. Experience with NetSuite ERP is highly desirable.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• NetSuite ERP experience preferred; experience with other ERP/accounting software will be 
considered.
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT laws and IFRS accounting standards.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Job Responsibilities

 Bookkeeping & Transaction Processing
• Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank 
reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data in line with IFRS and UAE requirements.
• VAT Compliance
• Prepare and review VAT calculations and returns in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority 
(FTA) regulations.
• Maintain proper VAT documentation and support FTA audits when required.
• Month-End & Year-End Closings
• Assist with the preparation of trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Support external auditors by providing the required documentation and explanations.
• ERP & Reporting
• Enter, review, and maintain financial data in NetSuite (preferred) or other ERP systems.
• Generate financial reports and assist in variance analysis against budgets.
• Internal Controls & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company financial policies.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
