Job Description

An Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial management of an organization, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. This position involves preparing financial statements, analyzing costs, and implementing efficient procedures to improve financial sustainability. The accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as advising management on financial strategies. In addition to handling internal finances, the accountant may also work closely with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, comprehensive experience with accounting software, and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate auditing processes annually.
  • Review financial data, validate accuracy, and prepare budget forecasts and tax filings.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and offer solutions to rectify issues.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial records.
  • Generate reports on financial status and risks for executive management's overview.
  • Maintain updated, accurate records of organizational accounts and financial transactions.
  • Advise management on financial implications of business activities and decisions.
  • Support the organization's financial operations through budgeting and cost control processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest financial and accounting software enhancements and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Proven work experience as an accountant or in a similar role is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficient in accounting and finance software, such as QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex financial data to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
