Project Architect
Gensler's Abu Dhabi office is seeking a Senior Project Architect with a passion for Critical Facilities to join our team. As a Gensler Project Architect, you will combine creativity, technical expertise, and strong project leadership to deliver innovative, high -performance environments for some of the world's most complex and mission -critical facilities.
You will play a key role in the design and technical delivery of Critical Facilities projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce technically robust, efficient, and sustainable design solutions. Your proven experience leading com plex projects, coordinating consultants, and solving technical challenges both independently and as part of a team makes Gensler the ideal place to continue developing your career.
What You Will Do
- Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, civil and specialist consultants.
- Support communication between project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting authorities.
- Coordinate closely with Project Leads to oversee the team's design and technical delivery.
- Work alongside project management to successfully execute all phases of large and complex projects.
- Work independently across a broad range of large-scale, technically demanding and highly specialised Critical Facilities projects.
- Demonstrate and share expertise in advanced technical design methods, detailing, coordination and project delivery.
- Contribute to projects with significant regional and firmwide impact.
- Apply advanced analytical and problem -solving skills together with specialist knowledge of Critical Facilities design.
- Build strong client relationships and represent the Critical Facilities practice internally and externally.
- Lead client interactions and technical presentations.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy while working towards broad project objectives.
- Exercise sound judgement, creativity and independent decision -making throughout project delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to less experienced team members.
- Develop innovative technical solutions to resolve complex design and coordination challenges.
- Prepare and maintain project manuals and specifications.
- Conduct and document site visits, review submittals, substitution requests and RFIs during construction administration.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 10+ years of architectural experience, including significant experience delivering Critical Facilities projects such as data centres, mission -critical infrastructure, technology campuses or other high -performance facilities.
- Licensed or registered Architect.
- Demonstrated passion for Critical Facilities design and technical excellence.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, construction methods, building systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and high -performance building design. Portfolios should include at least one project that highlights sustainable design principles, and candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience with certifications such as LEED, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, Living Building Challenge and/or Net Zero Building.
