Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services to meet the operational needs of Matsbond projects. This role involves preparing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the procurement manager and project teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing that meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers.
• Maintain supplier databases and procurement records.
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
• Assist in supplier performance evaluations.
• Support procurement-related reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
