Mechanical Technician

Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role will diagnose issues, repair faults, and implement improvements to extend equipment life and efficiency. The technician will work across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, supporting oil and gas production and related operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to address recurring issues.
• Maintain tools and spare parts inventory.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies in a timely manner.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in oil & gas or industrial settings.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in field environments.
