Job Summary

Provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions; works with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications.

Key Responsibilities

Analyzes and evaluates application functionality and provides recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities Determines and documents optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications; configures and verifies application setup and configuration Develops expertise in emerging application and solution trends and functionality; provides functional recommendations for assigned applications and systems. Conducts analysis of potential application solutions, identifies and recommends solutions to address functionality gaps in the application. Develops and maintains strong relationships with relevant vendors; works with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve functionality issues Partners with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts and architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements and define application functional designs. Serves as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed). Creates and manages functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution

Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Composes and decomposes a system into its component parts using procedures, tools and work aides for the purpose of studying how well the component parts were designed, purchased and configured to interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

Solution Modeling - Creates, designs and formulates models, diagrams and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

Solution Validation Testing - Validates a configuration item change or solution using the Functions defined best practices, including the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, tools and metrics, to ensure that it works as designed and meets customer requirements.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. 3-5 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required. Broad business knowledge required.
  • Good understanding of business processes pertaining to SAP ERP HANA platform and Manufacturing as part of domain knowledge.
  • Has good understanding of the SAP PS Module and end-to-end offering; Demonstrates expertise on the SAP PS module as a primary skill
  • Should have 10+ yrs of experience with 5+ as a Techno Functional Lead, leading large SAP implementations and support.
  • Excellent communication skills and should be able to manage business stakeholders independently. Drive decisions in a support model where necessary.
  • Should carry Technical and Functional knowledge on the overall S/4 HANA platform and should have a good functional understanding of all modules SD, MM, PP, EWM, Service etc and should carry functional expertise in atleast 2 of these modules.
  • Should have managed Data Governance , Data Quality and Data Analytics in the S/4 platform.
  • Should have good knowledge in integrations with external systems in a ERP landscape
  • Should be aware of Jules and its potential leverage for business
  • Actively contributes to operational excellence, knowledge, process improvements, simplification.
  • Should be able to drive techical and functional decisions for critical operational issues
  • Is highly proactive with compelling propositions for continuous improvement.
  • Proposes innovative solutions; Contributes, where relevant, to external communication (points of view and awareness operations) in their domain.
  • Takes data driven constructive decisions to meet business objectives; Demonstrates end to end ownership and accountability; Is open to feedback.
  • Oversees operational performance (profitability, lead-times, quality) within their scope. Should have very good understanding of project finances.
  • Identifies and manages alerts at management level; Manages reporting tasks for their entity; Identifies and controls risks.
  • Understands Cummins ecosystem quickly and able to get things done through formal & informal network, both at global and local levels.
  • Adapts to changes in business/ people/ technology/ ecosystem.
  • Responsible in their domain for organizing assignments or projects, teams as well as staffing optimization.
  • Should have managed large follow the support engagements with proficiency in ITIL framework
  • Lead a combination of internal teams and external vendors.
  • Should be able to lead teams to deliver business outcomes and commitments
  • Ideates in design, development and implementation of best practice solutions and improvements to SCM and cross functional processes and work with business and IT teams to promote business transformation leading to digitization of supply chain.
  • Lead production support and business operations support for global support.
  • Should be able to work in multiple shifts in a follow the sun model.
  • SAP PS Certification is mandatory.
