The Supply Excellence Program Lead will serve as an implementation leader for the design and roll-out of Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) transformation across site. Serve as a change agent and coach to train Plant Director and sites’ leadership team on the effective deployment of key MSE strategies and processes. Drive a learning culture that embraces standardized work, information flow, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement. Develop and coach leaders to lead the sites under the Pillar Operating System as defined in the Leadership and FMOS Pillars.

Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role. It will be accomplished through developing and maintaining an organization that demonstrates improvement by continuously driving faults lower.

Success will be measured by Process alignment to DMS standards, Behaviors aligned to Leadership standards and KPI Results achieving Delivery, Cost, Safety, Quality and Engagement Targets.

Qualifications

What are we looking for

  • Preferably Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University with 08-12 years of professional experience
  • Training in PMI Project Management, food safety, associate safety, P&L principles and Supply/Manufacturing practices.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Shift Management Experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing Leadership positions (In Technical, Lean/TPM, Operations or Logistics)
  • Team Skills – High Performance Team Experiences
  • Experience in leading step-change initiatives / Best practice roll out
  • Demonstrated experience in change management/transformational projects.
  • Strategic Agility, Managerial Courage, Innovation Management, Interpersonal Savvy, Influencing, Communication Skills and Planning
  • Excellent Communication, listening and Influencing skills
  • Critical thinking/negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience with LEAN/TPM, knowledge of : Lean management infrastructure, lean tools & techniques.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • The position will work collaboratively with the broader Supply Excellence teams, Plant Directors, cross-functionally with leaders to shape, deploy and collaborate in the execution of the MSE strategy and operating plans.
  • Implements a program governance system with agreed Daily/Weekly/Periodic “Ways of Working to tracks progress and provide visibility
  • Acts as the daily consultant to the Site Leader, Pillar Owners and teams/individuals in their small group activities and ensure linkage of the effort of the pillars with direct business results.
  • Partners with the Site Leader to ensure the CBN-Plan with defined milestones is on track, manages corrective actions to gaps including resource reallocation to ensure continuous progress..
  • Works closely with the Regional and Global MSE Teams to ensure compliance against standards and to receiving effective guidance/coaching as needed. He/she will also provide input to the Change Control Process – both inputs and outputs of governance.
  • The MSE Lead will develop and deliver on-going communication with his promotion team in order to ensure internal to the site and input to regional and global communications.
  • Acts as AWT Team Leader on the execution of the team activities
  • Lead the team sessions, agenda, timing, attendance
  • Allocates activities to maximize learning and meet commitments
  • Monitors team progress
  • Identifies issues and barriers to implementation, resolves where possible
  • Through Supply and cross function teams, establish area performance standards and goals based on site goals and strategies; measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate.
