Join our team as a Dental Receptionist/Dental Nurse, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our dental practice runs smoothly. This dual role requires a compassionate individual with excellent organizational skills, who can effectively manage front-office responsibilities while also assisting in clinical tasks. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will create a welcoming environment, schedule appointments, manage communications, and handle patient records. Additionally, your clinical duties will include preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during procedures, and maintaining sterility standards. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with their registration process.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring privacy and accuracy in documentation.
  • Assist with insurance claims and billing, providing patients with financial information.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient procedures.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, maintaining a steady hand and a calm demeanor.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in compliance with health protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques following their procedures.
  • Order and restock dental supplies, ensuring the clinic is well-equipped.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless practice operations.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist or dental nurse is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team and other staff members.
  • Proficient use of dental office software and standard office equipment.
  • A compassionate attitude toward patient care and comfort.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Certification as a Dental Nurse or Receptionist is an advantage.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental setting.
