The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of automated tests for our web, SQL, REST, and SOAP-based financial systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Automation Test Lead to define and implement a new test automation tech stack and strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions.

Location : Pune

Experience : 7 to 10 years

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Automation Test Lead to develop and implement a new test automation tech stack and strategy for our financial systems.
• Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts for web, SQL, REST Assured, and SOAP-based applications.
• Integrate automated tests into the software development lifecycle and continuous integration processes.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage and high-quality software solutions.
• Identify, analyse, and report on test results, defects, and trends to drive improvements in the software development process.
• Continuously research and stay current on the latest trends and advancements in test automation technology and best practices.
• Train and mentor team members in test automation techniques and tools.
  
  

Essential & Technical Competencies

• Hands-on knowledge of Linux or Unix scripting
• Hands-on knowledge of BDD Cucumber Framework/Python OR JAVA
• Hands-on knowledge Jenkins
• Hands-on knowledge Selenium WebDriver Automation
• Hands-on of API testing techniques Rest Api automation using Rest Assured SonarQube experience desirable
• Git (Version Control) Analyse results of tests and to be able to update existing test suits after API changes
• Basic Knowledge about CI/CD Concepts
• Usage of Postman or JMeter tool to modify requests to validate multiple outputs on scenarios.
• Exposure to UI Automation, Selenium, JAVA Rest Assured, TestNG
• Experience using at least one defect management tool – JIRA, HP ALM, ADO etc
• Experience with Payments domain (good to have)
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in test automation with a focus on web, SQL, REST, and SOAP-based systems.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with various software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
