Lead Engineer - DBA

As a Database SME you will be supporting Airtel’s private /public cloud customers across India. You are expected to have extensive experience on SQL & NO-SQL DB platforms. We expect you to be agile and learn new skills constantly. You will are expected to be participating in all aspects of the Deployment life-cycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of database platform for our clients.

• Having a strong background in Database administration will be required in successfully fulfilling this role.
• Additionally, understanding application development lifecycles as well practical experience in working with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools as part of the container lifecycle will be useful.
• Extensive experience on SQL and No-SQL databases - MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MYSQL, MSSQL, Aerospike, Redis and Oracle
• Administering and supporting multiple databases for performance critical, highly available systems on UNIX/Linux platform.
• Experience in Mogo Shard DB Cluster, PostgreSQL DB Clusters.
• Experience on automation, scripting.
• Expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata, ZDLRA)
• Proficiency on HA architecture – RAC, Replica sets, Sharding, Primary-Secondary Architecture, master-slave, innodb cluster.
• Database Installation, Configuration, Patch Management, Upgradation, Migration, Monitoring and Administration of Production databases supporting mission-critical activities
• Experience in Oracle Security products like Audit Vault, Key Vault, Database firewall, AVDF,
• Proficiency in backup/recovery – RMAN, pgbackrest, pgdump, mongodump, pbm, meb.
