Position Title: Workday Adaptive Planning & Consol

Department: Finance/Administration

Summary of Position:

This position is designed to provide dedicated administration support for Workday Adaptive Planning & Consolidation systems, which are integral to FP&A and financial reporting activities. The role will involve managing system updates, handling monthly consolidations, supporting BAU activities, and administering the platform with appropriate system access. Additionally, the role will provide end-to-end support for the Australia region while ensuring alignment with the overall Finance function goals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage Workday Adaptive Planning & Consolidation systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Regularly update and maintain system data, configurations, and controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Support monthly consolidation activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across regions.
  • Provide configuration requirements support to the vendor for implementation.
  • Provide BAU (Business-As-Usual) support, addressing user issues, coordinating with process owners, and ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Perform administration support tasks, including monitoring user access, permissions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Obtain and manage admin access to Workday Adaptive, enabling oversight of system usage and data integrity.
  • Provide regional support for Australia, including system administration, consolidation checks, and reporting assistance.
  • Partner with FP&A, Financial Reporting, and Technology teams to resolve system-related issues and drive process improvements.
  • Assist in testing, upgrades, and rollouts of enhancements to the Workday Adaptive system.
  • Document processes, create user guides, and support training for system users across geographies.
  • Functional & Behavioural Competencies required:

Functional Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning & Consolidation systems (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience in financial reporting, monthly consolidation, and FP&A processes.
  • Expertise in system administration, user access management, and BAU support.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance systems administration and reporting.
  • Proven working knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning & Consolidation is essential.
  • Prior experience in a financial services, insurance, or broking industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
