Job Description

An RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering) Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of maintenance processes within an organization. This position demands a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage maintenance service requests, coordinate work orders, and support the engineering teams. The RME Coordinator is responsible for maintaining records, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. They act as a bridge between the maintenance team and other departments, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of maintenance issues. This role is vital for minimizing downtime, optimizing machinery performance, and enhancing productivity within the operations framework.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all maintenance service requests and work orders efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance schedules and records for all equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance regulations in all operations.
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Provide administrative support to the engineering and maintenance teams as needed.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and parts.
  • Evaluate maintenance processes and suggest improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Train maintenance staff on standardized procedures and best practices in equipment management.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management for maintenance projects and resources.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately using the appropriate software systems.
  • Coordinate emergency maintenance and repairs swiftly to minimize impact on operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering coordination role is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication abilities to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management software and systems is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements in maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, is required.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on developing efficient maintenance solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency maintenance situations effectively.
