Job Description

The Territory Service Representative - Mechanical plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of mechanical services within a designated geographical area. This role involves regular interaction with clients to address their mechanical service needs, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that all machinery and equipment function optimally. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. They will also be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining high standards of customer service. Additionally, this position requires travel within the assigned territory to attend to service calls and conduct scheduled maintenance visits. By fostering strong relationships with clients and providing exceptional technical support, the Territory Service Representative will contribute significantly to the satisfaction of our clientele and the overall success of our service department.


Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and efficient repair services for mechanical equipment within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment malfunctions and downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify the root cause and best solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential sales opportunities and client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize disruption to client operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all service activities.
  • Provide clients with education and recommendations on optimal equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on advancements in mechanical systems and incorporate knowledge into daily work.
  • Order and manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for servicing mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule service appointments efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in mechanical service or a similar role.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with mechanical systems and equipment are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the designated territory to provide service support.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all service tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
