Senior Associate - Cloud Engineer

Your Team Responsibilities

This position is in the cloud enigneering team who is responsible for engineering cloud based solutions at MSCI

Your Key Responsibilities

Terraform & Cloud

• Should be able to lead Infrastructure as Code modernization initiatives across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform modules to encapsulate common infrastructure patterns and promote code reuse and standardization.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce Terraform best practices across all cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Work closely with the development and operations teams to integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines, facilitating seamless infrastructure updates and deployments.
• Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure issues, leveraging deep knowledge of Terraform, cloud services (Azure and GCP), and networking.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on Terraform usage, patterns, and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Terraform and cloud technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure automation capabilities.
  
  

AI Infrastructure Awareness

• Should possess AI and Large Language Model (LLM) expertise to support and accelerate Terraform modernization initiatives.
• Should have a strong understanding and hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) in the context of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.
• Should be capable of collaborating on Terraform development using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  
  

Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure automation, with a deep focus on Terraform.
• Proficient in writing scalable, modular, and maintainable Terraform code for both Azure and GCP environments.
• Strong understanding of Terraform state management, module development, and infrastructure as code principles.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, troubleshooting, and security best practices within cloud environments.
• Skilled in scripting with PowerShell or Python to automate cloud operations.
• Practical experience with AKS and GKE for container orchestration.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality infrastructure design.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor colleagues in Terraform best practices.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
