A Pizza Chef is a culinary professional responsible for crafting high-quality, traditional and gourmet pizzas in a restaurant or catering environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to standardized recipes and techniques.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure fresh supply of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen to uphold health standards.
  • Operate and maintain pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders in a timely manner.
  • Adapt recipes to meet customers' dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff members.
  • Ensure quality control by tasting, verifying portion sizes, and plating presentations.
  • Develop and test new pizza recipes to enhance the menu variety.
  • Engage with customers to receive feedback and improve the dining experience.
  • Handle and resolve any customer complaints regarding food or service professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of food supplies, equipment maintenance, and stock rotation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or a similar role in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pizza preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.
