Manager - Trading Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all trading applications are functioning as expected during BOD (Beginning of Day) and EOD (End of Day) activities.
• Provide L2 support for issues related to:
• Trading applications
• Market connectivity
• Order management systems
• Real-time market data feeds
• Independently perform patch upgrades and application updates for trading platforms.
• Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to trading applications.
• Monitor trading systems and infrastructure for outages, latency, and performance degradation.
• Assist users with:
• Installation and configuration of trading applications
• Backup and restoration of essential applications and databases
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L3 support or vendor teams, providing detailed diagnostics and documentation.
• Collaborate with QA teams and vendors to test, implement, and deploy fixes and enhancements in staging and production environments.
• Maintain and update knowledge base documentation for common issues, procedures, and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with operational best practices and system stability standards.
  

• Strong hands-on experience with trading platforms, including:
• Omnesys (IOB)
• Greeksoft
• Kambala
• Symphony and other trading technology platforms
• Strong understanding of trading system operations and production support.
• Proficiency in database technologies:
• MySQL
• Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
• Strong knowledge of Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, latency, connectivity issues).
  

• Basic understanding of trading workflows and financial instruments, including:
• Equities
• Options
• Futures
• Familiarity with exchange connectivity and real-time market data systems and Colo Connecitvity
