Responsibilities
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design and develop high-impact learning experiences. You will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create engaging, accessible, and effective training materials that align with business goals. Your toolkit will include Articulate (Storyline/Rise), Microsoft suite and Canva to bring learning to life.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Design and Develop Learning Content
Create interactive e-learning modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise
Develop facilitator guides, learner workbooks, assessments, and SOPs in Microsoft Word
Design visually engaging learning assets (infographics, posters, digital resources) using Canva
Collaborate and Consult
Partner with SMEs to translate technical or operational knowledge into clear, learner-friendly content
Facilitate project scoping sessions to define learning needs and goals
Conduct content reviews and incorporate feedback
Apply Learning Theory
Use instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy) to ensure content is goal-oriented and effective
Adapt materials to suit various learning styles and formats (face-to-face, virtual, blended, self-paced)
Evaluate and Improve
Conduct needs assessments and learning evaluations
Analyse learner feedback and performance data to improve content
Maintain version control and update learning materials as needed
Skills and Experience
Reporting into the Group Head of Learning and Development, this role is paramount to the People & Culture team and for ensuring our team members are spreading happiness and creating memorable guest experiences!
This role is also central to creating stimulating, and challenging training objectives to upskill whilst fostering a culture of learning for our REAL, OBSESSED and FUN team members.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A minimum of 8+ years of experience within L&D, designing learning modules within an hospitality or entertainment industry (desired)
Proven experience in instructional design or eLearning development
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline and/or Rise
Strong skills in Microsoft Word (templating, formatting, reviewing)
Graphic design and layout experience using Canva (desired)
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and assessment methods
Ability to manage multiple projects, work to deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong written communication and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to implement new strategies
Ability to interact and partner with internal and external stakeholders for corporate solutions and to ensure successful designs of blended training
