The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor is a key leadership role within the engineering and maintenance departments. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems within an organization. This role involves supervising a team of E&I technicians, coordinating with other engineering teams, and implementing best practices to optimize performance and safety. The E&I Supervisor is also responsible for managing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and develop a team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians effectively.
• Plan and oversee maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all activities.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to support project implementations.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all E&I equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation system issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities and system updates.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of E&I staff, providing training as needed.
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and project requirements.
• Implement industry best practices to improve reliability and efficiency of systems.
• Prepare reports and documentation for management on maintenance activities and projects.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and lead root cause analysis evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in electrical and instrumentation supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in managing maintenance programs and leading technical teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving electrical and instrumentation issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
