Job Description
We are looking for web developer with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. This opportunity is suited for a fast-paced, organized individual who is eager to learn latest in web development technology. Candidate must have extreme attention to detail and work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update department website content; create new pages for programs, create web graphics; and lay out content for presentation on the web.
- Work closely with our design teams to create engaging and user experience focused web sites and web applications
- Developing user interface components and implementing them
- Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
- Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code with extreme attention to detail in code and user experience
- Strong knowledge in Javascript, CSS3 and HTML5
- Experience in Wordpress or any popular CMS
- Familiarity with Bootstrap
- Familiarity with latest and popular Javascript libraries
- Responsive design skills for mobile and desktop web sites
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues
- Experience with CSS animations
- Proficient with a design tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch or another visual design tool)
- Familiarity with Git version control system
- Eager to learn new technologies
- A team player with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in application development for we and mobile platforms
- Knowledge of best practices in web development, security, and scalability
- Familiarity with PHP, Ruby or Node.js
- Familiarity with Jekyll
- Familiarity with CSS Preprocessor such as Sass, Scss, Stylus or LESS
