Job Description

A Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of a product, from acquisition to distribution. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a firm grasp of logistics operations. The coordinator will liaise with vendors, suppliers, transportation services, and internal teams to ensure seamless product flow. This role is essential in optimizing operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and ensuring products are delivered on time and in excellent condition. By leveraging advanced software tools, the coordinator analyzes data to forecast needs and streamline operations, ensuring an agile response to market demands.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics operations involving transportation, inventory, and warehousing activities efficiently.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize operational efficiencies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and secure best pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to maintain stock availability.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Utilize logistics management software to track, analyze, and report on activities.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed shipping and receiving documentation and reports.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify process improvements effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align strategy with broader organizational goals.
  • Resolve issues related to transportation, delivery, and logistical discrepancies promptly.
  • Develop contingency plans to handle potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Stay updated on logistics trends, tools, and best practices to enhance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or relevant field.
  • At least three years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a systematic approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under strict deadlines effectively.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make informed logistical decisions.
