Job Description

As a Finance Assistant, you play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of an organization. You will be responsible for handling a variety of financial tasks, including processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and assisting with budget preparation. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be essential as you work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be comfortable working with financial software and spreadsheets. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  • Process financial transactions including invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts regularly.
  • Support the finance team in conducting internal audits and financial analysis projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Assist in maintaining the financial filing system, keeping records organized and accessible.
  • Prepare and submit tax forms and reports in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support during financial audits and year-end financial activities.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from staff, customers, and external agencies effectively.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll and employee expense reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in a finance assistant or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is essential.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and advanced knowledge of Excel necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and team members.
