  • Develop new recipes and menu items that highlight unique elements of Chinese cuisine.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a harmonious and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients as needed.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in authentic Chinese cooking techniques.
  • Adjust seasoning and flavor profiles to match the desired taste for each dish.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in adherence to sanitary guidelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our visual and taste standards.
  • Present dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner that enhances the dining experience.
  • Continuously research and explore new trends and developments in Chinese cuisine.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Chinese cuisine restaurant or similar establishment as a chef.
  • In-depth knowledge of various regional Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing new dishes and menus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage a culinary team effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Certification from a culinary school or related professional qualification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with proper sanitation, health, and safety kitchen practices.
