To ensure Fire Prevention and Fire Protection in the Refinery Complex.

Conduct Fire Training for Employees and Contract employees for Emergency Mitigation.

To ensure the reliability of fire protection systems and respond to Emergency Calls.

To review MOC documents / drawings etc

SAP Codification, Procurement, Budget Control etc.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Training & Drill

  • Training to fire operators & Nayara Employees
  • Regular PT & Drill for Fire operators
  • "Participate in Training - Ext + Internal


Conduct Target drill/ Mock drills

Conduct drill as per plan

Follow up for observations compliances

Preparation of Emergency call Report & Daily activity reports

  • Report through IRIS
  • Through Mail & entry in SAP


Managing Shift activity

Authority : lead a process of emergency calls and fire protection system

  • To ensure Minimums strength of Fire Turnout Crew
  • To ensure healthiness of Fire protection system
  • Respond to all types of emergency calls.


Environment Management System

Statutory Compliance:- Ensure compliance towards all environmental legislative requirements. Ensure compliance to company standards laid down if any.. AUTHORITY :-

  • To Reduce Generation of Waste.
  • Ensure Resource conservation
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste generated as per the laid down procedure for waste disposal and handling


OHSMS

HSEF - Care & Welfare: To achieve a safe and healthy work place.

  • To ensure the medical assistance is available in the township round the clock.
  • To ensure all the residents are maintaining the traffic norms within the township premises.
  • Champion the use of the tenets of operational excellence by applying them to all activities across the department
  • To ensure the residents adhere to safety norms while driving /riding the vehicles inside the Township


Energy Management System-50001:2018

EnMS

  • Awareness about Energy policy- 50001:2018
  • Significant energy uses.
  • Energy objectives and Energy Management System.

  • Co-ordinate with group EHS team and other business EHS teams to ensure efforts are aligned and to maximise the benefits of each others experiences and insights.
  • Coordinate with all internal functions to enable effective deployment and development of the Safety management system
  • Coordinate with RSM & Area managers for Fire standby & during Shutdown
  • External Interactions:

  • SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
  • BE-Fire from NFSC, Nagpur + 5 yrs of experience


Or

  • BE-Fire from any other approved institute + 6 yrs of experience


Or

  • Grad-I (IFE India or UK) OR BSC Fire with 9 years Post Qualification Experience in Refinery or Equivalent
  • Additional desirable - Post Graduate / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety, Understanding of Management system (QMS, EMS & OHSMS)
  • Valid Heavy Vehicle License
  • Age not more than 30 yrs.
  • Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:
  • BE-Fire from NFSC, Nagpur + 5 yrs of experience


Or

  • BE-Fire from any other approved institute + 6 yrs of experience


Or

  • Grad-I (IFE India or UK) OR BSC Fire with 9 years Post Qualification Experience in Refinery or Equivalent
  • Additional desirable - Post Graduate / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety, Understanding of Management system (QMS, EMS & OHSMS)
  • Valid Heavy Vehicle License
  • Age not more than 30 yrs.
  • Functional Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory regulations- Factories Act/ Petroleum Rules/SMPV Rules/ OISD Standards/ Other Major Safety related codes and standards-such as API/NFPA etc.
  • Have adequate Technical knowledge of fire Vehicles & Fire protection system
  • Should have ability to perform maintenance of fire protection systems/ equipment. He should possess valid HMV license
  • Shall have knowledge of carrying out Rescue from Height, Rescue from Confined space etc.
  • Shall have knowledge of Operation & maintenance of Rimseal FPS, Inergen System, DV System, Semifixed Foam System, Remote Operated HVLRM etc.
  • Shall have knowledge of SAP PM, MM, SAP codification, Procurement PR etc
  • Shall be able to review drawings and documents of MOC / Project etc.
