We are seeking a talented Backend Python Developer with 4-6 years of experience in building mission-critical production systems. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, distributed, event-driven microservices and REST APIs, primarily working with Python. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the expansion of blockchain and protocol coverage for one of our leading clients, with a chance to grow into leadership positions as the team scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, contributing to production-grade, mission-critical systems
• Design and build complex, scalable, distributed, event-driven microservices with integrations to third-party services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help evolve product architecture and features
• Contribute to database schema design, transaction management, and performance optimization, primarily with Postgres
• Provide input on product evolution and implementation strategies
• Operate in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and frequent context switching
  
  

Required Technical Skills

• 4-6 years of hands-on Python development experience in production environments
• Strong coding standards and experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Proven experience with distributed microservices architecture and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of relational database design, transactions, and isolation levels; experience with Postgres preferred
• Familiarity with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy is a plus
  
  

Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure
• Experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters
• DevOps skills including Linux shell scripting and networking
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated infrastructure management
