Job Description

A Telesales Agent plays a crucial role in driving sales and generating revenue by making outbound calls to prospective and existing customers. The agent utilizes communication skills to deliver product information, handle customer queries, and close sales effectively. Telesales Agents are responsible for identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products or services, and building strong customer relationships to promote loyalty and satisfaction. As a central part of the sales team, a Telesales Agent is required to achieve and exceed sales targets efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role demands persistence, professionalism, and the ability to work under pressure to meet key performance indicators in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers following established sales scripts.
  • Identify and understand customer needs, and recommend suitable products or services.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a regular basis.
  • Handle customer objections effectively, turning potential negatives into sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of customer interactions and sales outcomes.
  • Provide customers with detailed and clear information about products and services offered.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive products to better inform customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and resolve problems in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales or customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills to handle customer objections.
  • Proficiency in using computers and CRM software to track sales activities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional sales training is a plus.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
