SUMMARY

Join MasterControl as a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions that help bring life-changing products to market. In this role, youll work on our Qx product infrastructure, focusing on modernization efforts while delivering innovative, scalable, and secure software solutions that meet our customers evolving needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services following established coding standards and best practices
• Lead FedRamp Support projects to ensure compliance with federal security requirements
• Contribute to Linux Migration initiatives as we modernize our infrastructure
• Spearhead efforts to rewrite legacy ColdFusion code into Java
• Work with basic SQL queries for database interactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features
• Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize systems for scalability
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across teams
• Stay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of software development experience building scalable applications
• Strong Java expertise and proficiency in object-oriented programming
• Limited SQL experience with basic knowledge of database queries
• Experience with Linux environments and migration projects
• Understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services
• Experience with modern development tools (Git, JIRA, Jenkins)
• Adaptability with AI and AI-based tools
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience with legacy code modernization (ColdFusion experience a plus)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work in flexible hours as they collaborate regularly with US counterparts
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Primarily sedentary work with frequent use of computer, keyboard, and mouse
• Occasional lifting or moving of computer equipment or other objects up to 25 pounds
• Standard office environment with potential for remote work
