Job Description

The HR Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the employee experience within the organization. This position involves supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, and performance management. The HR Specialist collaborates with other HR professionals and department heads to develop and implement initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives. With a keen understanding of HR policies and labor laws, the HR Specialist ensures that the workplace is compliant and conducive to optimal employee performance. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle sensitive information with discretion and provide guidance to both management and staff on HR-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and labor laws.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues related to employment policies and procedures.
  • Organize and facilitate employee training and development programs.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address and resolve human resource issues.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure HR processes are aligned with organizational standards.
  • Support the performance management process, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and company culture initiatives.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on HR metrics to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs to celebrate and reward high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources position.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of discretion.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management and employee relations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Certification in Human Resources (such as PHR or SHRM-CP) is preferred.
