About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Aligned Finance Associate

In This Role, You Will

  • Participate in low complexity initiatives in researching financial data and reporting the findings within the functional area in support of a specific business unit, division, or product
  • Work in collecting internal financial data, analyzing and testing for accuracy
  • Review tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to risks and deliverables
  • Receive direction from supervisor and support operational aspects of work that may include maintaining ledger accounts to ensure accurate maintenance of financial data
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters while preparing data for research on product lines and strategic plans
  • Develop an understanding compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
  • Provide financial data information to managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders, including internal customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA from a reputed institute (or) Cost & Management Accountant (or) Chartered Financial Analyst with post-qualification experience with minimum work exo in integrating AI into financial workflows.
  • Candidate must have hands on experience in LOB / segment / product reporting / management reporting / dashboard / presentations / Analytics / commentary.
  • Candidate should have good exposure to handling workflow applications, be good with BO and or BI Tools and or similar applications. Good expertise in Data Lineage, data flow / architecture and data quality.
  • Candidate should have essbase, Hyperion, Cognos and should be a subject matter expert in data retrievals from different cubes. (Must have)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, Macros, Power BI, Power Apps and Power point.
  • Proficiency in AI framework and tools adoption (e.g. python, copilot, gen AI), data querying (SQL), advanced analytics platforms (Power BI, SAS, tableau)
  • Good understanding of accounting & preferably knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
  • Financial Services (brokerage in particular) Industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Certification in SAS, Python, Power BI, Power App

Job Expectations:

  • Candidate should be a subject matter expert on FP&A with hands-on experience in leveraging AI to augment financial planning, Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Ability to support planning of AI adoption, influence stakeholders and execute to improve FP&A end user experiences.
  • Ability to engineer LLMs to auto generate executive summaries and analysis of Income/Cost/FTE reports.
  • Use Jupyter Notebooks, Google Colab, or similar platforms to build and deploy financial models using Python.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, NotebookLM) to automate reporting, generate insights, commentaries and improve decision-making.
  • Ability to use AI/ML and GenAI initiatives, contributing to model development, integration, and deployment.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in AI to support the divisions strategy discussion for future capability development.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise tools like MS Copilot with a strong understanding of prompt engineering.
  • Experience with ERP and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to generate analysis and reports.
  • Candidate should possess very strong KPI, metrics related reporting and should be able to independently deliver all metrics (financial and non-financial) related data and analytics.
  • Candidate should have good financial acumen and come out with good strategic/ go forward data /analytic support and support the business teams.
  • Candidate should be good with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, understand process changes and be good with research and query handling.
  • Candidate should have good automation and transformation skills, especially in the space of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence applications.
