Position Overview

We are seeking an Azure Platform Engineering Manager to lead our India-based engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, and operational excellence of our Azure-based cloud platform, supporting mission-critical healthcare billing applications. You will work closely with US-based senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a Safe Agile environment to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Azure platform engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with US-based leadership and product teams to align platform capabilities with business goals.
  • Drive the implementation of Azure best practices in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, and security.
  • Own and lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts during production outages or critical incidents, ensuring rapid root cause analysis and system restoration.
  • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance to meet the demands of healthcare billing systems.
  • Champion Agile and SAFe methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of platform features.
  • Manage team capacity, performance reviews, and career development plans.
  • Oversee incident response, operational tasks, and proactive platform improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Azure platform engineering, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security.
  • Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.
  • Experience in the healthcare domain or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-400).
  • Experience with tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and monitoring platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor, Azure Monitor, App Insights).
  • Familiarity with containerization (AKS, Docker) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cost allocation and financial reporting initiatives to support Finance in tracking cloud spend and optimizing budget alignment.
