We are looking for a skilled and experienced Inside Plant (ISP) Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the internal network infrastructure and related systems. The ISP Manager will oversee the deployment, maintenance, and performance of transport equipment, routers, switches, and multiplexers within the Inside Plant. The role requires a deep understanding of DWDM, SDH, IP technologies, and ring topology. The candidate will also serve as the primary liaison between the Inside Plant operations, NOC, central teams, and other organizational units, ensuring effective coordination and equipment lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Technology Management:
Manage and maintain Inside Plant (ISP) network components , including:
Transport systems
Multiplexers (Mux)
Routers and Switches
Oversee and optimi s e DWDM and SDH systems for high-availability connectivity.
Support network architecture based on Ring Topology ensuring redundancy and fault tolerance.
Implement and maintain IP-based networking technologies across the infrastructure.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with the NOC and central technical teams for fault resolution, configuration, and system upgrades.
Provide technical guidance to field and support teams working across the assigned circle/region.
Collaborate with other departments for seamless network integration and service delivery.
Equipment & Asset Management
Ensure proper installation, documentation, and lifecycle management of all ISP equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory and oversee procurement and provisioning in coordination with relevant departments.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards for all in-plant equipment.
Operations & Monitoring
Monitor performance and availability of in-plant network elements.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical issues impacting service delivery or network performance.
Ensure quick turnaround on fault tickets and maintain SLA compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain updated network diagrams, asset records, and operation manuals.
Prepare and present regular status reports, outage analysis, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in ISP/Inside Plant operations or Telecom infrastructure management.
Proven experience with transport networks, IP technologies, SDH, and DWDM systems.
In-depth knowledge of Ring Topology and its applications in enterprise or service provider networks.
Experience working with network monitoring tools and systems.
