Your Impact
In this role you will be leading high-value client portfolios, developing and executing data-driven digital marketing strategies across multiple paid channels, optimizing performance to achieve growth targets, and managing a team to deliver exceptional client results.
As a Senior Manager of Performance Marketing (Marketplace Expert), you will join McKinsey’s Digital Marketing hub (DMH) and will be part of our client service team to take ownership of a workstream and solve some of the toughest challenges our clients face.
You will be based in Gurgaon and will be part of the ETML Team (subsidiary of McKinsey & Co.) which is a part of the Growth, Marketing and Sales practice. ET Medialabs (ETML) was one of India’s leading performance marketing and analytics agency, acquired by McKinsey in early 2025. The Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice strives to help clients in both consumer and business-to-business environments on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. The mission of this practice is to help clients achieve marketing-driven profit growth. Our clients will benefit from your experience in core areas of marketing such as branding, customer insights, marketing ROI, digital marketing, CLM pricing, and sales and channel management.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, from Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges. MBA is a plus
- 4–8 years of experience in Performance Marketing with a strong focus on marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, TikTok, Walmart and beyond)
- Proven expertise in AI-powered commerce marketing, marketplace tools (Pacvue, Helium10, JungleScout, ROI Hunter), and automation-driven optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Solid understanding of e-commerce algorithms, PDP optimization, bidding strategies, and digital shelf management
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills with prior CXO-level exposure
- Team leadership experience with a proven ability to build and mentor high-performing teams
