Our Engineers that join our Technologies team will be assigned to one of several exciting teams that are responsible for development and management of business-critical platforms.
Servicing Experiences Technology (SET) is responsible for developing the products and integrations that connect our customers to Customer Care Professionals and the critical self-serve tools in journeys that meet their needs with Chat and Voice Response, which is modern, global, real-time enabled, configuration driven, intelligent, and Open API Architecture based Contact Center Platform. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas on resiliency and observability for our Chat messaging Platform and proof of concept to deliver highest availability of the system. Our Software Engineers not only understand how technology works, but how that technology intersects with the people who count on it every day. Today, innovative ideas, insight and new perspectives are at the core of how we create a more powerful, personal and fulfilling experience for all our customers.
Responsibilities:
Tech Lead of Global Chat messaging Platform scrum, performing all technical development including architecture, design, developing prototypes, writing new code and APIs, and performing unit and assembly testing of developed software also as needed.
Hand-on architecture working closely with technical architects and architecture governance technical team for solution development and design reviews. Platform resiliency and availability up to 5 nine’s is critical and requires self-driven mindset to ensure its compliant
Analyzing business features and user stories and refining with the Product Owner to appropriately support design and build activities.
Working with Product Owners to prioritize features and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
Supporting integration and performance tests and providing demo of results to technical and product partners
Performing peer code reviews, making deliberate short- and long-term design decisions and keeping constant focus on clearing technical debt items in the backlog
Enabling the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments
Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the core and associated domains.
Typically spends 50-60% of time writing code and testing, and remainder of time managing team and stakeholders through ongoing product/platform release sprints.
Manages and mentors’ teams of junior and senior engineers through ongoing sprints.
Communicating to stakeholders and business partners on the solution and the implementation aspects at the technical and/or functional level appropriate for the situation
Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies
Influence team members with creative changes and improvements by demonstrating risk taking.
Strong technical capability with an intense desire to learn new skills and industry trends.
Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation
Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns, and opinions directly to wider team including tech and business partners in team meetings in person or video/tele conferencing.
Desirable to have experience of writing applications for deployment on cloud environment including OpenShift and Docker containers.
Desirable to have experience with performance and monitoring tools e.g., Splunk and App Dynamics

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Significant hands-on experience in design and build global scalable Platforms. Minimum 10 years of proven experience using Java, Vert.x, RxJava , Spring, Restful APIs, Redis, Kafka and Cloud technologies (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Micro-services, Relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Strong experience in application architecture / design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment within a professional environment.
Demonstrated ability in professional leadership skills in lead, partner, and collaborate multi-functionally across many engineering scrum teams.
Experience in conversational interfaces, chatbots, machine learning, deep learning and data analytics, Automation Experience is a Plus.
