Overview

This position is responsible for delivery of both client and internal projects, centered around the TNSXpress low latency trading infrastructure.

The candidate will work closely with regional Sales & Account Management teams, Infrastructure Engineers, NOC Engineers and Project Managers to assess requirements and design and deploy network solutions.

The Network Engineer is part of a customer facing team and therefore the candidate must possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills while having the ability to articulate highly technical and complex project requirements to both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Support internal and customer delivery projects
  • Become a SME on supported products and services
  • Work closely with Project Management team to increase quality of project deliveries to clients.
  • Provide training, knowledge transfer and ongoing support to TNS Global team
  • Provide detailed documentation on all projects

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in a network environment supporting a global IP network, within Financial Services. Direct experience troubleshooting IP network issues supporting financial markets and applications
  • Direct experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, and Arista routers and switches in a high bandwidth, and ultra-low latency production environment and developing multiple options to address complex problems
  • Multiple protocol troubleshooting experience (MPSL, BGP,IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT)
  • Experience with multiple hardware interfaces 1/10/25/40GBASE Ethernet
  • IP multicast and FIX order routing troubleshooting experience
  • 8+ years of experience supporting managed hosting / server environments
  • Experience and familiarity with vendor case management and escalation process for Cisco, Arista, and Juniper
  • Solid written and verbal skills with Ability to create and maintain technical design and support documentation
  • Direct customer service experience required
  • Flexibility around working hours in support of business requirements (may include bank holiday working etc)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • CCNP or CCIE
  • JNCIP or JNCIE
