Who are we looking for?

The SAP ABAP-BTP Development Operations Lead, CoE will provide governance, oversight, and technical leadership across the SAP development landscape, including ABAP, SAP BTP, and S/4HANA environments. The role ensures adherence to clean-core principles and SAP best practices, enabling scalable, high-performing solutions. In addition to leading production support and development, the architect will enforce design standards, drive modernization, and support the global template across all SAP deployments.

What will you be doing?

• Lead ABAP/BTP support operations, ensuring stability in ECC, S/4HANA, and BTP
• Enforce clean-core dev standards; govern change control and custom code compliance
• Troubleshoot critical issues, perform RCA, debug, and resolve escalated incidents
• Maintain SLAs for development tickets via ServiceNow; coordinate with global teams
• Oversee custom object lifecycle (RICEFW), ensuring audit and SOX readiness
• Support Fiori/UI5 and RAP-based solutions in alignment with UX and performance goals
• Monitor and optimize BTP usage, integration flows, and system performance
• Collaborate with architects and functional leads for template-aligned solutions
• Lead patch impact analysis, retrofit, and regression testing for dev objects
• Drive continuous improvement in dev operations with CI/CD, test automation, and logs
• Mentor developers, conduct reviews, and ensure knowledge retention
• Document changes, provide release notes, and manage technical artifacts in SNOW
• Coordinate go-live readiness: access controls, deployment, and rollback plans
• Engage with SAP support (OSS) and partners for issue resolution and roadmap alignment
  
  
  

Who are You?

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent
• 12+ yrs SAP ABAP (S/4, CDS, AMDP, tuning)
• 3+ yrs SAP BTP (CAP, Node.js, Fiori/UI5, APIs)
• Full-cycle S/4 implementation & ECC migration
• Experience with CPI, CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
• Strong in SAP governance, audit, and security
• Skilled in issue resolution, delivery, and collaboration
• Effective with remote, cross-functional teams
• Clear communicator (written & verbal)
