Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optometrist to join our healthcare team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care and vision health services to patients. Your expertise in diagnosing, managing, and treating a variety of visual disorders and diseases will ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care. Responsibilities

  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored for patients.
  • Detect and manage conditions like glaucoma, cataract, and macular degeneration.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care hygiene to maintain optimal visual health.
  • Maintain patient records, documenting diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Operate specialized equipment for diagnosing vision problems and eye diseases.
  • Stay updated on advancements in optometry and integrate new techniques in practice.
  • Manage and refer patients requiring specialized treatment to suitable practitioners.
  • Participate in community outreach to promote public eye health awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical practices in optometry.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Licensed to practice optometry and in good standing with state requirements.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with experience in treating various eye conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
  • Proficiency in using specialized optometric equipment and technology.
  • Commitment to continuing education to stay updated with optometry trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and staff.
