Software Tester

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, define test scenarios, and develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications for functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Design and develop automation test scripts and frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Execute test scripts and analyze results, ensuring accurate defect reporting and tracking.
• Work closely with developers and product managers in Agile teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines and maintain test environments.
• Continuously improve test coverage and efficiency by identifying opportunities to automate.
• Contribute to test documentation, knowledge base, and QA process improvements.
• Provide mentoring or guidance to junior QA engineers as needed.
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with both manual testing techniques and automation testing tools.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience in writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  
  

Experience

We are seeking an experienced Software tester with 5 to 7 yrs for our testing team. Should have strong proficiency in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building automation frameworks, executing functional test cases, and ensuring high software quality standards
