Software Development Engineer - Test

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced SDET QA Automation Lead to spearhead our quality assurance automation efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, with a deep understanding of QA processes, automation frameworks, and leadership skills to guide and mentor the QA team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery across web, API, and desktop applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QA automation team to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and Windows desktop applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Oversee and participate in both manual testing and test automation efforts to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Utilize Selenium or other automation tools and frameworks to automate UI and API tests.
• Architect scalable and reusable automation frameworks, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Play a key SDET role by developing core QA frameworks, automation libraries, and tools that improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to QA engineers and automation developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and optimize test environments using containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Perform code reviews and enforce quality standards for test automation codebases.
• Analyze and report on test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in automation tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies to continuously improve QA processes.
  
  

• 10+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar for test automation.
• Extensive experience with Selenium or comparable automation frameworks/tools/libraries.
• Demonstrated expertise in test automation for GUI applications as well as RESTful APIs.
• Experience automating tests for Windows desktop applications.
• Proven experience in an SDET role, contributing to the development of QA frameworks and automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD integration and automated testing pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team.
