Profile Summary:

We’re looking for an innovative and hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to join our corporate data science team, part of the CTO’s Office at HID Global. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, ML Ops engineers, and full-stack developers to help bring AI-driven ideas into production. This role focuses on building performance, scalable ML systems—including classical models, LLMs, and multi-agent architectures—and turning them into real-world applications.

You’ll play a key role in shaping HID’s adoption of machine learning and generative AI, with responsibilities ranging from model development to prompt optimization to implementation of safety and governance mechanisms.

As our Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

• Designing and implementing machine learning pipelines and models, including LLM-based solutions
• Translating prototypes and research into production-grade code and deployable components
• Developing and fine-tuning foundation models and LLMs for specific use cases
• Training and optimizing numeric machine-learning models
• Applying prompt engineering and building agent-based architectures for complex task automation
• Integrating models into backend systems and supporting real-time/batch inference services
• Working with guardrails and observability tools to ensure safe and robust use of generative AI
• Staying up to date with advances in AI and emerging LLM ecosystems to bring innovative capabilities to the team
  
  

Roles & Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

• Hands-on experience with LLM solution development and integration
• Solid understanding of modern LLM tools and frameworks such as: – LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen – Azure OpenAI Studio, Gemini Studio – LangSmith or equivalent observability/debugging platforms
• Proficiency with Python and ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers
• Deep understanding of agent architecture, prompt engineering, and LLM guardrails
• Experience with CI/CD practices, version control, testing, and model governance
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Bonus: Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) or orchestration tools (e.g., MLflow, Airflow)
  
  

Education and/or Experience:

• 6+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in production
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field
